LogsCord is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our bot on Discord. By using LogsCord, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
1. Introduction
LogsCord is a comprehensive logging and analytics tool designed for Discord servers. We help server administrators track and review events such as message deletions, member actions, role updates, and more. This information is essential for server moderation, security, and accountability.
2. Data Collection and Usage
a. Server Members Intent
- Purpose: We require the Guild Members intent to accurately track server member actions, such as joining, leaving, and updating roles. This information helps us generate detailed member activity reports.
- Data Storage: We store potentially sensitive user information, including usernames, nicknames, and avatars, for 30 days or less.
- Deletion Requests: Users can request the deletion or anonymization of their data by contacting us at [email protected], through our official Discord server support, or using the /privacy command in the bot's private messages.
b. Guild Presences Intent
- Purpose: We need the Guild Presences intent to monitor user activity in voice channels and track online status for accurate session log reconstruction.
- Data Storage: Individual activity data is stored for 30 days before being anonymized.
- Opt-Out: Users can opt-out of having their presence data shared with the server using a provided Discord button.
c. Message Content Intent
- Purpose: We require the Message Content intent to log deleted, edited, or flagged messages for moderation. This helps server admins review inappropriate content.
- Data Storage: We store message content data for 30 days or less.
- Deletion Requests: Users can request the deletion of their message data by contacting us at [email protected], through our official Discord server support, or using the /privacy command in the bot's private messages. However, we will only delete activity data that contains personal information. Regardless, all activity data is permanently deleted after 30 days.
3. Data Retention Policy
- If LogsCord is removed (kicked) from a server, all data associated with that server will be permanently deleted after 30 days, with no ability to recover this data.
- Data related to voice activity and moderation actions is retained indefinitely on the bot.
- For freemium servers, most data is retained for a maximum of 15 days. For paid subscriptions, data can be retained for up to 60 days (or one year). Users with paid subscriptions can export this data upon request.
4. Log Exports for Premium Subscribers
- When server administrators on a premium subscription export logs, the exported log data is signed by our server to ensure its integrity.
- A log of the export request, which includes all unique user IDs exported in the archive, will be saved on our server for a period of 10 years. This log helps us respond to any user requests and may be used in the event of legal actions.
5. API Access for Premium Users
- Premium users have access to the bot API to fetch logs and other data. They are required to comply with our data storage policy as well as all relevant Discord-related policies.
- However, we cannot guarantee that the data users consented to share in a public Discord server will not be shared elsewhere. We kindly ask users to respect best practices regarding their privacy on the internet, such as not sharing their real name or other personally identifiable information.
6. Data Security
LogsCord employs encryption for all potentially sensitive user information stored at rest, as required by our Developer Policy. We take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
7. Machine Learning and AI Training
Message content data may be used to train machine learning or AI models to improve moderation tools. Flagged messages or media are anonymized and utilized to refine our algorithms, enhancing our ability to detect harmful content.

- Opt-Out Options: Users can opt-out of specific data tracking, such as presence tracking, using designated buttons.
